Sheikh Mohammed - Sprint runner ruled out.

escapade ruled out

Sheikh Mohammed's Dubai Escapade will not be entered in Saturday's $2 million TVG Breeders' Cup Sprint at Churchill Downs after the filly was found to have some inflammation in her front ankle Tuesday.

Trained by Eoin Harty, the daughter of Awesome Again worked a strong five furlongs in 59 3/5 Monday morning. Purchased for $2 million at the Barretts 2-year-old sales, she has won six of eight career starts, most recently capturing the Ballaerina Breeders' Cup at Saratoga by 8 ½ lengths on Aug. 27.

The defection of Dubai Escapade will allow for Frank Calabrese's 3-year-old homebred colt Lewis Michael to get into the Sprint from the Preferred List, following Areyoutalkintome, who got in Monday after Commentator was withdrawn.
