George Washington out on the track.

stan cut george again

Stan James were impressed by George Washington's introduction to the dirt track at Churchill Downs on Friday morning and have cut Aidan O'Brien's colt to 6-1 from 7s for the Breeders' Cup Classic.

Neil Morrice, the firm's media and on-course representative, said: "George came out of the barn with a huge entourage from Coolmore and was the centre of attention as he cantered a mile on the inside of lead horse Ivan Denisovich.

"Although the track announcer stated his view that George wasn't liking the dirt his rider was happy and Aidan O'Brien reported the colt behaved impeccably and enjoyed himself.

"There has been a weight of money for him today and we were happy to cut him as the Ballydoyle bandwagon rolled into gear. I can't remember as much media attention for a Breeders' Cup runner in recent years."

In other moves, Stan James cut George's stablemate Aussie Rules to 16 from 20 for the Mile while Satulagi was nibbled-at in the Juvenile Fillies market and is in to 33-1 from 40s
