Dettori - set to ride Echo Of Light.

echo cut by stan james

Stan James have cut Echo Of Light to 9-1 from 12-1 for the Breeders' Cup Mile following confirmation from the colt's connections that Frankie Dettori has sided with him over Librettist.

The prices of the Godolphin duo flip-flopped as Librettist was pushed out to 12s from 9s.

Neil Morrice, the firm's on-course and media representative, said: "Both colts looked in great fettle when having a first stretch on the dirt track this morning but Frankie's booking for Echo Of Light, together with support for the colt, brought about the cut.

"Echo Of Light certainly looks the more progressive and is a 'now' horse, while Frankie was disappointed with Librettist in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot. Librettist looks to have more to prove on Saturday and that's why he's slid out."

In other news, Stan James have shortened Ouija Board to 15-8 favourite from 2-1 for the Filly Anf Mare Turf.
