Ladbrokes make George Washington a 10/1 chance to win the Breeders' Cup Classic on November 4.
Aidan O'Brien admits he is "leaning" towards giving the champion miler-elect the chance to shine at Churchill Downs next month.
After abandoning plans for a workout on the all-weather at Southwell due to fog, the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner instead pleased O'Brien with positive spin on the Ballydoyle polytrack gallop on Friday.
"We are certainly leaning towards running George in the Classic," said O'Brien.
"A final decision probably won't be made until later this week."
Stan James introduced George Washington into their Breeders' Cup Classic book on Sunday.
The firm's media and on-course representative Neil Morrice said: "Even though Aidan O'Brien was unable to work George at Southwell last week the pure fact that he wanted to repeat an exercise he has carried out with a handful of other colts that have represented him in the Classic tells you a lot.
"Our belief is that the colt is being prepared for a switch to dirt in Louisville, with his connections savouring the opportunity to take on Bernardini. We have introduced him into our Classic market at 7/1."
Bernardini remains a 5/4 favourite for the race with bet365 while Lava Man is 4/1 generally with Invasor just behind at 6s.
Dylan Thomas can also be backed at 10/1 with VC Bet.
